However, it is not always easy or indeed cost-effective to simply check every single pipe on a regular basis and having the expertise to do so is another matter entirely. The benefits of this are numerous. Any problems that are evident or likely to arise can be dealt with there and then, or at least see wheels go into motion to get the problems rectified. By having experts check the safety and capability of your current pipes, you can also have a very good estimate of how long it will be before your pipes are likely to need to be checked again and, as such, having experts check your pipes is likely to lead to less cost and less disruption in the long run.

Many older pipes and fittings are made of unsuitable materials and for many a switch to a material such as duplex is likely to greatly increase safety at a surprisingly low cost. Whilst changing pipes or fittings to duplex may be an outgoing you might think you can do without, letting older pipes and fittings go unchecked is likely to lead to far higher costs and potentially even danger in the long run.
