When a customer walks into a retail store they often forget about the processes that go on behind the scenes. With the shop floor set out perfectly and all of the clothes displayed effectively it is easy to remain unaware of the hard work that occurs to achieve this end result. Deliveries to update the items that are showcased in the store are usually regular; they can even be on a daily basis for some stores. Transporting good from the delivery or loading bays to the store requires lifting equipment. This equipment is invaluable as transportation would be impossible without it.

These types of trolleys have many different uses and functions in the retail industry for transporting goods. When there is a sale of items a retail store often needs to move items around on the shop floor to accommodate a sale area. The trucks are usually easy to be manipulated and manoeuvred by a single person as they are on wheels. The casing around them is typically made of sturdy metal to prevent items from falling off during transportation. This adds protection to the person moving the trolleys and also prevents the goods themselves from becoming damaged. It also allows a person to stack goods on top of each other to maximise the amount that can be carried. Using pallet trucks means less trips can be taken and this ensures a job is done faster.
